on Friday i had a debate tournament and i was so nervous. when i had got at the school i had to wait for my partner. i was so nervous because he came late and i almost had to debate by myself. but luckily he came right at the last second so i got lucky. our first round we had one of the founders of high tech high judging us and man was i scared. when we finished our first round the founder of high tech high said he was very impressed with my performance. after the first match it was all a piece of cake.

I saw on the news today a currant event on video games. My brother walked in the room and said that the games are not the problem its the gamer. what he means by that is gamers stay up so late just to play games and that makes them not get as much sleep and because of that they cant think straight and because of that their mind tells them to do things that have no necessary reason to do. witch causes a bad outcome.

on my thanks giving break i had a few crazy times. trying to make home made stuffing is so hard and time consuming, and the most funniest part about setting up the thanks giving feast is that we almost had a fight with the food. it started by my brother mixing his hands in the stuffing. once he had took out his hands my little sister grabbed some and put it down his shirt. it was so funny because he is running around the house with raw food in his back, also when he woke up the next day he still smelled like stuffing a taking three showers

Trees With Power

right now a team of MIT researchers are using the platinum electrodes and they are also using ficus plants to determine the truth of the feeble electric currants from the trees. they have found a answer. they say that the pH difference between soil and the living tree is basically the cause of electric currants. now the scientist are deciding over how to use the power source for the human benefits.

i still have not gotten a book yet but tomorrow i am. instead of talking about a book i will just say what i had did today. Today i had woke up at 7:30 in the morning to go to my brothers soccer game. it was a very long drive, it was on the way to L.A. when we got there we had saw a fight. i dont know how it had started but they had gotten kicked out of the game. at the end of the game my bro had tied with the other team so they did not get to go to the play offs. so after that we had took our long drive back home and on our way we had been stopped by traffic because there was a accident.  after that i dont remember much cause i had fell asleep.

I haven't got book yet but i will soon. i guess today i will just say some motivational words today. i have been through some really rough times and i had hated my life. during this four day weekend i have come to realize that if you think that you are a failure in life then ask your self why is that and if you do have an answer than fix it. It is NEVER TO LATE to go back to fix your mistakes. It is better to learn from your mistakes that to regret them for the rest of your life.

On saturday I had to wake up at 4:oo a.m. because my dad is leaving for about three months on some trip and i was so sad but i am ok now because he has left for a longer time before and o guess i just got used to it. I guess what i am trying to say is if you want to join in the military be warned because you have to be gone for long trips and you will not be able to see your family and also if you get lucky you can have a phone call and talk to your family.

Today I had read a in the newspaper that the chargers really sucked and that instead of throwing the ball they ned to at least run them more 

In the chapter "A Typing Machine" is about how Panchito learning how to type fast in his class. He is having trouble with his accuracy though. Witch is kinda bad because they have quizzes about typing. He has to type about fifty five words a minute with no errors.    

In the tenth chapter of "breaking through" there has been some rough times going on with the family. Panchito's dad had gotten his back pains back and that means that he has been doing less and less work. So the family has been getting into financial problems and the cant even pay there rent. Pancithito and Roberto went to go look for a job and then they had ran into a man named Mike Nevel. They asked him if they can get a job for their dad and since his dad was not capable of any experience he did not get the job. But Roberto did and he gets paid 1.25 dollars an hour and he works on the weekend.   

In the ninth chapter "if the shoe fits" Panchito had lost his tennis shoes and at his P.E class he had gotten five points taken away from him because he had lost his shoes. so the p.e teacher told him to get tennis shoes and for every day that he does not wear  his shoes he gets five points taken away from his grade. Panchito went home and told his mom that he needed new shoes and his mom said next week when Roberto gets paid. During the week Trampito had found shoes in the garbage can and told Panchito. He had tennis shoes but it didn't fit so he had to wear two pairs of socks. After awhile Panchito told his gym teacher that his feet were itching really badly and the P.E teacher said that he had athletes foot. Panchito thought that it was a compliment until he had found out it was bad.   

In the eight chapter "becoming a saint" Panchito is going to Santa maria high school. he is not going to go help his dad pick strawberry's because he needs to go to school so he wont get down graded like Roberto. Roberto had gotten expelled for missing to much school and he had failed first grade for not knowing any english. Panchito's dad is upset because Panchito and Roberto are not going to be there to help pick strawberry's and other fruits.  

In the seventh chapter summer skirmishes Panchito talks about how he had a started a strawberry war with his brother Roberto. It all had started when they were picking strawberry's at the field.panchito was so bored an tired so he had stood up to stretch. his brother was in front of him by two rows because he was a faster picker. Panchito had saw an opening so he picked up a rotten strawberry made sure no one was looking at him and through it. I think that it was so funny because Roberto turned around looking startled. Roberto already new that it was Panchito because he was snickering.

  

Breaking Through by Francisco Jimenez

  In chapter II Panchito and his brother Roberto are left by themselves trying to make a living. Roberto went back to his old job and found out that he had gotten fired for missing too many weeks, so him and Panichito had to go back to farming. Later in the chapter Roberto received a call and it was his old boss asking him to come back to work because the man who took his place did not work out. 

  Later, on in the story Roberto and Panchito needed a hobby because they were very bored at home. They went to a dance and noticed the girls and boys were separated with very little dancers on the dance floor. Suddenly, they realized they did not know how to dance so they went home to practice a little everyday. 

  After a long time Panchito and Roberto's parents are finally home again. There dad was ill when he was away and fortunately when he came home he was feeling a lot better. Many things happened while they were away for example one of Panchito's little brother was hit by a bus while playing ball in the street. Thank goodness he only had a few cuts and bruises.

  The 5th chapter was pretty normal. Roberto continued too work at the school and in the weekends he would help his brother(Panchito) and dad in the fields. During this time they notice that the vegetation was not growing. To make a long story short they found out that the soil was bad and this made Panchito's dad very frustrated and angry. He let out his frustrations on the kids by abusing them.

My name is jonah and I am 14 years old i was born in 1/26/94, I like to play soccer, and I usually go watch the chivas play with my friends. I like to play my guitar, I wright my own music down to the notes and song lyrics. Apparently i am so post to go to london for some get to know some people i don't want to be around with, and they want me to go because kids in america are going from different schools to represent them. Which sounds ok just staying in london for a week, but i am already making new friends at my new school {which is so awesome}.
